Story

When I originally created my Henry VIII design I imagined that it would appeal almost exclusively to men, since I based the patterns and colours on what I thought would suit the man himself. I am very happy to admit that I was wrong and that the design has been hugely popular with women. To celebrate this, I decided to think about the same pattern and colour idea but in a very feminine design. I composed a textured pattern, knitted in 3 Ply Hebridean which incorporates shaping into a flattering A-line jacket.

The collar is the focus and reveals how just a small piece of an iconic design can be instantly recognizable. The main body of the garment is a fairly straightforward knit whilst the collar requires a few tricky manoeuvres which I hope experienced knitters will find interesting to work.
