Costume Skills Developer Class
Description
The Costume Skill Developer Class gives you a full introduction to making complex textured neckpieces. You will learn how to make a variety of different feathers, learn finishing and construction, and end by making an elaborate textured, layered and padded neckband and cuffs. Use our free Video Tutorials section for step-by-step guidance on cast-on methods, and how to knit, purl, and cast off. When you are comfortable with these basic techniques you will be ready to start your Lapwing Collar, which will introduce you to making a feathered neckpiece. When you have completed the Lapwing you will be ready to move on to the more complex and textured Conachair Collar & Cuffs. These kits do not include needles or buttons.
The Lapwing Collar kit includes a colour-printed patterncard with full instructions, all the Alice Starmore Hebridean 2 Ply yarn required to make the Lapwing Collar in your chosen colours and online access to 1 hour and 46 mins of detailed video tutorials.
The Conachair Collar & Cuffs kit includes 2 colour-printed patterncards with full instructions, and all the Alice Starmore Hebridean 2 Ply yarn required to make the Conachair Collar & Cuffs in your chosen colours and online access to 1 hour 30 mins of detailed video tutorials which take you through all of the techniques involved in the design, including the feather edgings and construction, and the elaborate textured, layered and padded neckband and cuffs.
