Constance Caddell
We first noticed Constance on instagram when she tagged us in images of her completed projects. It is always wonderful to see our designs so beautifully made and so thoughtfully and elegantly styled.
Constance creates entire outfits in her own inimitable style: her use of colour is striking and her choices of fabric and silhouettes for styling are made with great flair and sophistication. Her attention to finishing is particularly impressive. Her final outfits show her skill and patience in the construction, as you can see here in my Elizabeth of York design from Tudor Roses, which she knitted in her choice of a background of Kelpie and pattern of Sea Ivory. This is worn with a dress she made using the Vogue 9279 pattern, which echoes the Tudor mood and is yet very modern and stylish.
Constance is a self-taught knitter who has been creating since 2007. She also sews and crochets. She shares her love of the fiber arts through her YouTube channel, Instagram page, and other platforms. Currently, Constance is a full time Ph.D. candidate in Library & Information Science at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She also works as a graduate research assistant with the Center for Civil Rights at the University of South Carolina.
