Story
A Strathspey is a Scottish country dance tune named after the Moray, Badenoch & Strathspey area of the Highlands. The pace of the dance is stately and the steps are easy, making it a popular choice at all good Highland ceilidh’s. I designed Strathspey with a relaxing pace and light, easy steps in mind. I have focused on a gently shaped outline which I have accentuated by devising some understated pattern stitches. The result is a flattering design which can be easily dressed up or down. It is also very quick easy to knit, but with enough interest in shaping and patterning to make it an ideal project for both beginners and experienced knitters.
