Life on the Croft

During the lockdown I am greatly missing treks over moor and hills. However, I am fortunate to have the croft, garden and shoreline around me, and so I am focussed on the inspiration I can find on my own doorstep. I would like to share that experience as the land comes back to life after a particularly harsh winter.

My cattle are the main feature of the croft, and at this time of year I spend a lot of time working with them. My cows, Ishbel and Cara, both calved a few days ago and the two new calves are now enjoying the freedom of the croft. Have a look at the Highland Cattle page to meet the new calves and have look at the fold.

Last year we did a summer shoot with Emma around the croft and garden, you can see the results on our Croft Photoshoot page.

If you want to take a photographic walk over the croft and around the shoreline have a look at our Croft Wildlife page.
